De Vere Herons' Reach is an official venue for The National Golf Club Challenge. The challenge is all about the Great British golfing community coming together on the same weekend in support for our wounded armed forces.

Players from the six top scoring clubs will be invited to attend the grand final where The National Golf Club Challenge champions will be crowned. Find out more at www.ngcc2010.com.

De Vere Herons' Reach – Despite being set in a 200 acre parkland and lake estate, the course has a links feel to it, being just 10 minutes from the coast. The fairways are well maintained, but expect to be punished if you land in the rough, and the wind off the sea may cost you a few shots. Lakes guard a few greens, but hold your nerve; good approach shots are well rewarded.

About Help for Heroes – Help for Heroes was the idea of appeal chairman Bryn Parry and a group of friends and relations. They wanted to help wounded soldiers returning home from combat and came up with several fundraising ideas which led to Help for Heroes being born.
