Hadden Hill Golf Club is an Official Venue for The National Golf Club ChallengeIn support of Help for Heroes
When: Saturday 24th July 2010 Where: Hadden Hill Golf Club, Wallingford Road, Didcot, Oxon. OX11 9BJ Who to contact: Nicola Morley on 01235 510410 Hadden Hill Golf Club is an official venue for The National Golf Club Challenge. The challenge is all about the Great British golfing community coming together on the same weekend in support for our wounded armed forces.
Hadden Hill Golf Club greens are of an exceptionally high standard and the whole course is extremely well drained and playable throughout the whole year (It has not been closed for rain for one day during the last 14 years). The Course was designed by Michael Morley and built to the best possible specification. The course has over 30 miles of underground drainage and each bunker has a drain underneath it, so even in mid-winter the bunkers are 'playable'. HHGC is very proud to continue its support for our armed services, we currently are the home Club for RAF Benson & the Army stationed at Dalton Barracks Abingdon who receive special reduced membership & Green fees at Hadden Hill. We are very pleased as a Club to be able to contribute further and are hopeful of raising a significant donation for the Help the Heroes Charity on July 24th 2010. For more on Hadden Hill Golf Club, visit their website. About Help for Heroes – Help for Heroes was the idea of appeal chairman Bryn Parry and a group of friends and relations. They wanted to help wounded soldiers returning home from combat and came up with several fundraising ideas which led to Help for Heroes being born. The charity are completely non political and accept wars happen under any government, all they want to do with the help of the British public, is to assist our wounded heroes. Registered charity number is 1120920.
