Consett & District Golf Club is an official venue for The National Golf Club Challenge. The challenge is all about the Great British golfing community coming together on the same weekend in support for our wounded armed forces.

Players from the six top scoring clubs will be invited to attend the grand final where The National Golf Club Challenge champions will be crowned. Find out more at www.ngcc2010.com.

Consett & District Golf Club is an 18 hole, mature parkland course designed by Harry Vardon in 1911 and measuring 6041 yards. The course is set in 100 acres of the beautiful Derwent Valley on the county border between Durham and Northumberland. The course offers an enjoyable experience for all ages and golfing abilities.

About Help for Heroes – Help for Heroes was the idea of appeal chairman Bryn Parry and a group of friends and relations. They wanted to help wounded soldiers returning home from combat and came up with several fundraising ideas which led to Help for Heroes being born. The charity are completely non political and accept wars happen under any government, all they want to do with the help of the British public, is to assist our wounded heroes. Registered charity number is 1120920.
